About

Dilkush Vikram, MPT (Neuro), has a special interest in neurological rehabilitation. His clinical approach centres on understanding how a condition affects a person’s movement and everyday function, and using purposeful, goal-directed rehabilitation to help patients progress toward greater independence.

With a postgraduate specialisation in neurological physiotherapy and clinical experience across neurological, orthopaedic, geriatric, sports and post-operative rehabilitation, he brings a functional approach to patient care — particularly focused on the practical side of neurorehabilitation: movement, transfers, balance, mobility and confidence in the activities that matter to a patient’s daily life.

Treatment Expertise

Dilkush’s work draws on functional neurorehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, mobility and transfer training, balance and postural control, gait rehabilitation, strengthening, movement retraining, bed mobility and task-specific functional practice — with a particular emphasis on translating improvements in body function into better performance of everyday activities.

Approach to Rehabilitation

Assessment findings are used to identify the specific movements and functional tasks limiting a patient’s independence, and treatment is progressed through meaningful, graded activities rather than isolated exercises alone. In neurological rehabilitation, Dilkush places importance on active participation, appropriate cueing, repetition, and progressively reducing assistance as ability improves — with safety, confidence and functional carryover into daily life central throughout.
